During your stay in Sinai, tour options include Taba, Dahab, Sharm el-Sheikh and the St. Catherine monastery. These places can be visited without any visa. If you would like to extend your visit beyond 14 days, visas are easily purchased at the passport control desk at the airport in Sharm-el-Sheik or Taba. The visa is valid for up to 6 weeks and currently costs around 15 euros. However, if you intend to visit the Sinai area only, you can obtain a visa for Sinai only, free of charge, for a stay up to 14 days.
An Egyptian visa is required for travel outside the Sinai area, and can be purchased for about $15 euros. It is valid for 30 days, and must be used within a 6 month period.
